EYE COLOR • Bright, crystalline blue
HEIGHT • 5'2
WEIGHT • Approx. 110lbs
BUILD • Lean yet curvy; fit, though not overly muscled
SCARS? • She has a few due to her beatings, though they're small, and mostly hidden
UNIQUE CHARACTERISTIC • The contrast with her eyes and her darker features, her odd personality
[/style]Standing at a shorter height of 5'2, with a slim, yet shapely, fit figure, most would consider Blue to be beautiful, in a rather unique sort of way. Her dark, brunette hair falls past her shoulders in somewhat wild, yet somehow elegant-looking natural waves, framing a soft, bronzed face clear of imperfections. Her eyes, holding nothing but the remnants of a dark past and a youthful wonder of the world, are a brilliant blue in color, hence her name, and stand out rather dramatically when compared to her brown locks. She's a shorter woman, yes, though she has muscle for her tiny frame, and is built for stamina; the woman may not be able to win in a battle of strengths, but when comparing speed, she's quite the quick little runner.

[/style]Blue isn’t the average, outgoing, happy little woman that most may consider her to be, within a simple glance. She isn’t looking for attention 24/7, nor is she abnormally dark and violent, like some of her kind in this day and age. She is a creature of simplicity, and yet, can be so entirely complicated. Blue spends most of her life looking at the beauty within things; be if a rainy day or a sour situation, she will always find something to be in awe about. However, unlike some people that find something beautiful and move on, Blue actually treasures these things to a deep, barely comprehensive level. She focuses on the details of things immensely, and because of this, has become an absolute expert on the art of reading expression and feeling from others. She can analyze another, be it a friend or stranger, and immediately understand things about them. This, in turn, tends to make others wary, as she always seems like she knows more then she should about someone, no matter how recently they’ve become acquainted.
Aside from Blue being absolutely mesmerized by the details within life, she also has a very soft and calm way of looking at things. She will never be the one to act aggressively first, unless pushed to it, and speaks with an almost unheard of grace and softness. Her voice, however, is never tender. Soft, but surely lacking all true, warm emotion. The woman is like this because, although she is so intensely hung up on details and comes across with serene calm, she is guarded beyond what most view as possible. Due to her past, she refuses to get close to anyone, be it male or female, out of fear they may hurt her again. She’s resistant towards personal contact, and will go out of her way to escape it if need be. She often becomes skittish, or even defensive and panicky, should she come in contact with someone she wishes not to. Trust is very important to her, and should you break it, she will not be pleased. On another note, Blue chooses to show no emotion whatsoever when coming into contact with someone, and if she feels she may have slipped, her mind tends to over-think it, and she will often back herself into a metaphorical corner. She’ll begin to feel closed in and scared, thus leaving her vulnerable. This is her biggest fear, and therefore it tends to drive her worse into the depths of panic.
Now, yet another thing that describes this woman is her will to be strong. This goes hand-in-hand with her desire to lock out emotions, as she believes they are a weakness. She was hurt gravely in the past, and because of this, has gone to all heights possible, to keep herself “safe.” Now, although Blue can seem resistant to get to know others, she’s undeniably open-minded. She will never judge another, only until they have done something to lead her on to their real, true personality. This, also, is where her knack for “reading” comes in.
Finally, should someone get past her hard outer shell, Blue is an absolute pleasure to know. She’s well-mannered and kind, and will let others in on her past if she trusts them, bit by bit. She has a soft spot for children, as she has such respect for them, although she tends to become saddened because of the thought of her lost son. All in all, Blue is a very complex, yet entirely simple woman. It would certainly take patience to master her emotions and gain her trust.

silence; When I say silence, I don't mean complete and utter lack of sound, but rather the loss of any sort of human-made noise. Without humans about, she believes she's safe, as they're all that can truly damage her badly enough to make a dent in her optimism. Whether she's in the forest or near waterfalls, as long as there's not the feint hum of voices, or the boisterous laugh of a man regarding his fellows, she's entirely happy.
details; Her wild, somewhat frightening ability to pay attention to detail is what the woman believes truly has saved not only her life, but her mental state as well. These are the things she pays attention to, more closely then some may be able to comprehend; not only does Blue ignore the "big picture," of something entirely, but instead, she dissects the details that make up said picture. With this gift, she can read a person standing before her within seconds, to distinguish them as friend or possible foe. This relaxes her often wild nerves, and is able to relax her enough to seem level-headed.
natural beauty; Now, through the gruesome years of Blue's past, there was a time when little appealed to her. When, no matter how hard she tried, happiness always seem out of her reach, taunting her with it's seemingly beautiful effects. It was around this time when the woman began appreciating the small, beautiful things within life, such as a bird, or a doe nuzzling up against it's fawn. She can sit for hours, happily at that, just observing the world around her, and she'll never get bored.
DISLIKES •
being touched; Blue hasn't touched a man willingly since her wedding night. Even an easy, simple handshake is far too much for the woman to even fathom, and though she wants to show warmth to another being, to touch in order to shw her gratitude, she simply will not allow it. Should a male close in on her and touch her without her permission, she will often spiral into somewhat of a panic, cringing away from the touch, as if it were filthy. She wants to allow herself to relax, but she simply can't allow it.
thoughts of reoccurring heartbreak; This is definitely one of the things that frightens Blue most. The thought of letting herself get so emotionally attached to someone, only to be ripped away from them again has her absolutely terrified. She was hurt badly, and because of it, is no longer the warm, flirtatious, outgoing little woman she once was. The thought that the pain of heartbreak could overwhelm her once more is out of the question for Blue, hence her great displeasure with the mere thought of it.
nightmares; Every single night, the woman is plagued by nightmares of her past. Often, she awakes in a flurry of screaming and panic, and it is this exactly in which leaves her feeling vulnerable and very, very unsafe. She won't sleep near anyone for this exact reason, due to her not wanting others to see her when she's weak.
WEAKNESSES •
panicky; Again, Blue tends to over-think things. When she's facing a possibly dangerous situation involving a male, or even if she's awoken from nightmares, it takes tons of control to be able to keep her reeling mind from sending her spiraling into a panic attack.
being touched; As soon as the woman's been touched, by a male at least, she immediately grows still and rigid, her blunt displeasure by the action showing as clearly as day. Her expression often grows strained, eyes growing cold, and, in reaction, the woman will usually shrink away from the touch, even if it's unintentional. She hasn't touched a man willingly in years, and even the slightest of brushes can have her memories flashing before her eyes with horrifying clarity.
wanting to get close to someone; Should there be the chance where Blue will feel herself wanting to give someone a warm smile, or take them into her arms for an embrace, there's often a great deal of inner conflict. Children aside, she's set rules for herself; displaying emotions of any sort is dangerous. Period. And so, should the woman feel herself leaning towards wanting to do such wild things, she will often remove herself from the situation, and pull away from said person.
STRENGTHS •
keeping her emotions guarded; If there's one thing Blue is generally extremely skilled in, it's the art of hiding her emotions. She can be so, entirely infuriated with someone, and you wouldn't know it, unless she were to tell you. The woman has mastered the ability to manipulate her expression, and unless she slips (which scares her, let me remind you) or decides to relax around someone because she trusts them, there is little chance of anyone she comes into contact with knowing what she's thinking.
reading others; Now, along with not allowing the ones around her to know what she's feeling, Blue very easily takes advantage of what they're willing to show her, unintentionally or not. She's become skilled at reading other's expressions, and often people become very wary and unsettled when around her, because she can pick up details about them in which no one else would realize. She adores this ability, and in all truthfulness, does it for her own safety.
FEARS •
a repeat of her past; Self-explanatory really; the thought of being hurt so gravely, enough to change her into the shell of who she once was, is a terrifying one to the woman.
losing another child; Ever since she lost her first child, Blue's heart has held the ache of a different, motherly, protective nature. She longs to nurture something of her own creation into adulthood, though the thought that she could lose another child is always looming within the back of her mind. She isn't entirely sure if she could handle such a trauma again, and so is very... mixed about it.
"And they've given you a reason to fight."

Blue's past is hardly one she enjoys carrying around with her on a day-to-day basis, let alone being plagued by thoughts of such bothersome event, when she casts sight upon any child, a loving couple, or nearly every passer-by. She's become a changed woman, and in all honesty, her past is to blame.
Blue was born into a small family, consisting of just her mother, father, and herself. They were peasants, or so most believed they were, however they were a happy family nonetheless. Always eating diner together and spending majority of the day riding or tending to the farm animals, Blue grew up with plenty of structure and love.
It was when the girl turned sixteen, however, in which her life began to fall far from where she had expected to be, at that age.
Not only did her parents have a debt that could end them, but her mother was getting ill, and healthcare for those of her class wasn't to be trusted, according to Blue's father. And so, the young woman pulled her father aside one night, and told him she would be able to accept a marriage. Several men had offered things for her hand, but being the considerate man William was, he'd kept his daughter under his wing for as long as he could. But, Blue knew it was time--and, it would give her parents the money needed to bring them from the slump they were in. So, the word got out that she was to be looking for a husband, and sure enough, men both within, and above, her class showed interest in the mysterious beauty. She'd always been a flirtatious little thing, one to tease and catch boy's attention, but never had Blue actually followed through.
Four days later, she was engaged.
The man was handsome to say the least, and quite the catch; in fact, Blue's parents had, at first, wondered why a man of a higher status would bother with their peasant daughter. The man insisted it was no joke, however, and easily charmed the parents into believing he was a well-mannered, kind-soul.
When in reality, he was truly the opposite.
Blue took the months to come getting to know the man, letting him court her, and having no trouble with flirting back. She granted him nothing but a kiss on the cheek, having self-respect for both herself and her reputation, and intended to keep him waiting until after their wedding to call herself his, or grant herself to him in any way, shape, or form. He seemed alright with the fact, but little did Blue know that the man had a mightily dark side to him; one in which he concealed on a daily basis, without problem.
Months passed, and soon enough, Blue felt she knew the man well enough to grant her hand to him. She'd fallen, quite literally, in love with him within a matter of months, and was excited to spend the rest of her life with him. The wedding was a splendid event, quaint but satisfying, and at the end, Blue and the man she loved kissed; their first true, real show of emotion since meeting one another. As the event came to a close they waved off friends and family, Blue's love's arm wrapped around her tiny, little waist, as her mother kissed her on the cheek, hot tears running down the contours of her face.
Blue was just sixteen, and oh-so vulnerable to the charms of grown men. And yet, she'd fallen in love with nothing but a facade of the man she'd granted herself to.
As the young woman walked into her new household, still wearing her wedding dress, a bright, ecstatic smile spread across her lips. She'd twirled and skipped through the house, exploring and discovering, all until she reached the bedroom, and paused. There was only one bed, and yes, of course she was married--however, she was still young. She hadn't intended to have children, anytime soon.
But, see, the man she's grown to love felt differently. He wanted her, despite her disagreement, and made it clear as soon as he walked in, locking the door behind him, that he owned her. He gave a quick, snide little speech about his past wives, and how their age had been nothing but a bore to the man. His eyes were alight with a fire of danger and dark intent, and it was after he was finished speaking, in which he closed in on Blue, and took her innocence, completely and utterly ignoring her desperate attempts at escape.
Afterwards, Blue collapsed into a pile of ripped and bloodied cloth that was her wedding dress and sobbed into her hands, while the man changed into clothing, completely ignoring her sobs. He continued to be nothing but nasty towards her for the months to come, expecting her to get certain chores done by certain times, and to satisfy him whenever he feel the need. He had her convinced that she was living a life of luxury; that everything she was going through, not only the physical abuse but mental as well, was love.
He was a sick man, to say the least, but Blue was naive, and believed him without thinking.
Nine months after her wedding night, Blue gave birth to a child; a beautiful baby girl, of whom she named Emily, after her mother. By naming the child after such a flawless figure in Blue's mind, she was captivating all the good memories she'd had before her life turned to hell, and it was for this reason, as well as many others, in which she treasured the child with her life. She ignored the fact she was the product of rape, and kept the child with her at all times.
But, see, a mere month later, her husband decided he was upset with Blue, for not giving him a boy. A daughter was hardly worthy.
And so, he had her apprehended.
Blue screamed and cried as her newborn was ripped form her arms by the authorities, but she was ignored, and yet again, was left heartbroken.
It didn't change when a letter came for the two; their child had made it to the orphanage, but unfortunately, died from influenza, due to the conditions of the center.
It was then, in which Blue snapped. She yelled and screamed, throwing herself at her husband in a mad attempt to make him pay for the hardship he'd caused her. She slapped him, square across the face, not once, but twice, all until he grasped onto her wrists, and hit her back, hard.
Needless to say, the woman ran from the household minutes later bloodied and broken, concealing her face from the world around her, before making her way into her yard, untying one of the horses she cared for the most, a mare she'd named Serendipity at birth, and taking off into the hills. She lived on her own for nearly two years, as when she finally left she was only twenty-three, and let her passion for natural beauty her. Now, after years of attempting to heal herself, Blue has arrived here, in Texas, seeking something that resembles a decent life for herself.
