The miles upon miles separating city with city are mostly made up of one thing; the plains. The majority of Desierto del Paraíso is made up of this dry, flat land, scattered with cacti and tumbleweed. The ground is dry and cracked, and should a soft wind even brush against it, the top layer will lift, creating a soft whirlwind of dust. You can most commonly come across Rattlers, Coyotes, and Lizards in these parts, though what else did you expect, in the plains?

Taking up a fair amount of the massive stretch of land there is between the three towns within Texas lays the El Bosque Forest. It's a rather densely-knit forest, with massive, towering trees of which shelter many forms of wildlife. Anything from wild boar to bear can be found here, so tread carefully--especially those without horses.

Hidden within the depths of El Bosue sits a stunning meadow, named for the hundreds of poppies that grow throughout the spring and summer. It is said that a native woman, long ago, planted three poppies in the field in order to show respect to her husband after death, and within weeks the entire field was overrun with them. A small creek slithers through the large field, and is the water source for the plants and animals that dwell here. The meadow is rather hidden and hard to find, but once you've been here, you'll never forget it.

Deep within the forest sits a huge, towering cliff; one of which, should you truly want to, can be climbed in order to reach the top. It provides a flawless view of the lands, and is the highest landmark within all of Texas. It's named after the eerie howls that can be heard coming from the cliff, after nightfall.

Near the bottom, carved out of the side of Howling Peak, sits a group of caverns, in which could easily be made useful. There are a few, discreet paths leading to the top of the large cliffs, however climbing atop them should be exercised with care. The temperature here is very warm, though there is a small creek snaking down one of the cliffs. The water is somewhat clean, though should be boiled over a fire before being consumed.

If you take a look at the map, one might be startled at the amount of open territory, in which has been left completely untouched. This is where most gangs spend their time, making camps where they please when they please, and this is also the area where one would come looking for wildlife of any sorts, be it horses or prey. The terrain varies from rocky, barren prairies to jagged cliffs, and, although it can be dangerous if you don't know the land, is quite a splendid area to spend your time.
