OOC;
• There is a word-count of 300 words. This is a literate site, and honestly, 300 words isn't that much. The bigger and better the post, the more someone has to respond to!
• Keep it PG-13. Yes, in this time period things did happen, don't get me wrong--just don't be overly gory, and as soon as the clothes come off, fade to black.
• Be respectful. Treat others how you wish to be treated. No one likes to be disrespected--so don't do it.
• One account per character, please. This keeps things neat and tidy, and is very important to follow.
• All images must not exceed 550x550 pixels. This keeps the board from stretching unattractively, so please follow it! Tables can be longer, though please keep the width at 550px or less.
• Avatars must not exceed 120x200 pixels. I find that's a rather fetching size, no?
• Give credit where credit is due. If the image is from DA or Flickr, credit them!
• No drama! Drama only causes problems, so it would be appreciated if you kept it to yourselves.
• Your account will be deleted after three weeks unexplained of inactivity. It makes sense, no? If you're going to be away for even a week, it's expected that you should post in the Away board.
• Power-playing, God-Modding, etc is not allowed. Standard rules here, guys. This, of course, is with the exception of gang/tribe/group leaders. They're allowed to power-play to a certain degree, such as slapping, punching, shoving, etc.
• Your app must be accepted, in order to roleplay. Just in-case changes must be made, it makes more sense.
• Character stats must be included when posting, or you must have a link to your logs in your signature. I'm sure it's not just myself that hates not knowing about who I'm replying too; this keeps things easy, and helps others from going on a wid search for information on a character they're posting with.
CHARACTER RULES;
• EVEN ONCE YOU'VE BEEN ACCEPTED, YOU MUST APPLY FOR A POSITION WITHIN A GANG. This way, leaders as well as myself can keep track of who is what, and what ranks certain characters hold.
• All characters must age every Spring. This way everyone ages at once, and things can be kept organized.
• Characters cannot be made under 5 years of age, and cannot exceed 70 for the time being. Please, no hundred-year old men, guys--be realistic. In this time period, medical care was hardly as advanced as it is now, and thus people lived shorter lives. I encourage everyone to vary their character ages, but we don't want a buncha old geisers flailing around, do we?
• You cannot join with a pregnant female. It just makes sense, yus? You would have no way of knowing specific stats of the father, which is definitely needed in order for the child statistics.
• Men and woman can both lead gangs, tribes, etc. Odd, perhaps, though I know the site is bound to get more than one woman who won't submit to a man--so, why not let 'em lead? Again, when the site takes place women weren't viewed as they are now, so some conflict may arise.
• You are allowed to play one second-hand, and one leader. Challenged or decided in-character, you can have only two high positions. This keeps everyone happy, and gives other members some power.
• Leaders must be posting at least every 8 days. We need to make sure activity stays strong, so this is the perfect rule to keep those playing important characters posting.
• Gay characters are allowed. Pretty straight-forward, I don't feel any need to keep these from coming on the site.
CHALLENGING/FIGHTING;
• You can challenge for positions, land, or material items. This applies to everything, except for ranches in which you have purchased. If you want to be the leader of a gang, then challenge the leader for it. No problem.
• Someone can only be challenged once every two weeks. Would you appreciate being bombarded with challenges any more often? I think not!
• If someone does not respond to a challenge post in 3 days, the challenger wins by default. However, exceptions can be made if any of the participating members are away.
• People taking part in battle have seven days to reply, before the other will win by default. This is important, once again to keep activity high.
• At least 30 posts is required to challenge anyone. We don't want people joining and challenging people right away--it's important to know what you're getting into. SECRET PHRASE: Would you om my nom?
• Once a fight is announced, PM a staff. This way, we can keep track of all of the challenges going on up in hurr.
REPRODUCTION AND CHILDREN;
• Birthing takes place three real-life weeks after the child is conceived. Better then nine months, no?
• No graphic sexytimes. We aren't here to scar children, remember!
• If you want a child, post in the correct board. If you do want funtimes to result in pregnancy, you MUST post in the appropriate board, in order to receive child statistics.
• All child stats will be posted by staff, in response to your request thread. Do not fight with them over the response--it's useless, and besides, you can always change the child's appearance by purchasing the ability to do so in the store.
